Unique in the content of its course offerings, the Master of Education in Kodály Music Education program provides music educators with comprehensive musicianship and pedagogical training that produces artist/musician/educators of the highest caliber. AKI’s twenty-first century application of the principles of Hungarian pedagogue Zoltán Kodály integrates practical applications of cutting-edge music learning theory with Kodály’s child-developmental sequencing, tools and strategies - all within the context of joyful music-making using folk and composed music of the highest quality.

* Former AKI Kodaly Certication Program Students:
Students who completed courses in AKI's former three-summer Kodály Certification Program have
the option of being "grandfathered" into the Kodály Master's Degree program. All courses that
were taken for graduate credit will be applied to the master's degree. Any courses that were taken
for MSDE in-service credit must be retaken for graduate credit.
