Loyola sets its academic calendar approximately 18 months in advance. The Academic Year officially begins each year on the Tuesday following Memorial Day (late May) through to the following May. Courses are offered in the summer months in a variety of formats, and then in most cases in a traditional 13 - 15 week fall and spring term. Executive Business Programs meet in a modified format of three 10-week academic modules per academic year.
Loyola's variable summer schedule is designed with flexibility in mind. Some programs offer courses in two 6-week summer terms, while others offer one ten-week module in the summer months. Still others offer intensive week-long or variable format course meeting times during the summer and in some cases a bi-weekly meeting is scheduled over a twelve-week timeframe. Check course schedules for specifics.
